Why Journalism?

I started my journalism journey in high school when I decided to take journalism 101 to simply improve my writing. I never thought I would be in the position I am today, loving writing and sharing the news. Since, I have formed great written communication and organizational skills through internships in newsrooms as well as freelancing in addition to podcast creation. I have had experience of the versatile communications field through producing multiple forms of news articles and press releases, social media calendars, podcasts, photographs, etc. I would like use the power of the written word to highlight social injustices within America while fighting to uncover the stories of those less heard.
